General things that would be nearly impossible to skip:
- Unreality
- Themes of mental illness (Specifically depression, anxiety, body image issues, and suicidal ideation)
- Flashing lights/glitching visuals
- Distorted visuals and audio
- Knives
- Swearing
- Uncanny imagery
- Characters making eye contact with the camera
- Metaphors for self-harm
- Metaphors for addiction
- Panic attacks
- Loud sounds (screaming, wind, and audio distortion)
- Videos in which the sound cuts out, or in which there is no sound
Specific scenes that can be easily skipped:
- A character almost drowns - Important to the plot (Discovery, 2:21-2:39)
- A character’s bloody lipless face and bloody hand is shown - Not important to the plot (DO NOT TOUCH, 13:11-13:18)
- A character vomits audibly while off-screen - Not important to understand the plot (intruder, 6:40-7:20)
- A character beats up another character. Blood and bruises are shown - Important to the plot (gone, 3:10-6:30)
- A character rips out her own tooth - Not important to understand the plot (last 8 months, 2:42-2:49)
- A character implies that she is intends to commit suicide - Important to the plot (last 8 months, 4:50-5:02)
- A character considers committing suicide while holding the tool with which she intends to do so, and being encourage to do it by another character - Important to the plot (anagnorisis, 0:56-6:43)
